The City of Vallejo is undertaking a process to update the Vallejo General Plan and Zoning Code. With input from residents at workshops scheduled throughout the City, the Guiding Principles were defined under four categories: Community and People; Nature and the Build Environment; Economy, Education and Training, and Mobility, Transportation and Connectivity. Eight Opportunity Areas have been identified that are parts of Vallejo where significant physical change is possible and where changes can have the most positive effect to move Vallejo forward.
Andrea Ouse, Planning Manager for the City of Vallejo, will be the guest speaker at the March 28, 2015 VHNA General Meeting. It will be held at the Mira Cultural Community Center at 51 Daniels Avenue in Vallejo from 10:00 am to Noon. The VHNA and its members will provide refreshments and Moschetti Coffee.
Please plan to attend, and bring a neighbor with you. Ms. Ouse will provide information about the importance of citizen participation in creating an updated Vallejo General Plan that will serve Vallejo and its residents through 2040.
